• Business Resources - Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce has gathered resources and information to help our members and businesses navigate Coronavirus as our daily lives have drastically changed to slow down the spread of COVID-19.  Virtually all businesses are confronting the prospects of reopening, how much staff to rehire, and how to ensure compliance with new operating procedures in the COVID-19 environment.

During this challenging transition, the Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce is committed to removing some of that uncertainty with frequent updates on:

    • Safety measures for businesses choosing to remain open
    • Government action that alters normal business operations
    • Impacts to specific industries, including temporary business closures
    • Guidance on PPP loan forgiveness

Restaurants remain open for delivery, but not for in-person dining. Most retail stores are open for curbside pick-up.  All public and most private schools plan to begin the new school year this Fall, although instruction may still be virtual. The City of Los Angeles has ordered the continued closing of the following businesses through July:

    • All bars and nightclubs that do not serve food - wineries and tasting rooms
    • Movie theaters (Outdoor and drive-in still available)
    • Family Entertainment Centers (e.g. performance venues, bowling alleys, gaming facilities and festivals)
    • Zoos and Museums (Outdoor Exhibits still available)
    • Indoor and outdoor playgrounds (exception within childcare centers)
    • Community Centers, including:
      • Public pools
      • Pools, hot tubs and saunas located in multi-unit residence
      • Part of Homeowner's Association
